Specifications prices Modifications and Image 2011 Citroen Metropolis
Making its European debut on the Citroen stand here at Geneva is this enormous luxury concept called the Metropolis.

Longer than a Jaguar XJ, the Metropolis was developed from scratch by a Citroen design team based in Shanghai, and is designed primarily to meet the needs of a China's booming luxury car market.

Among the big Citroen's eye-catching features are its Pearl Silk body colour, which changes under different light conditions, as well as its kite-shaped front grille.

The car also showcases a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain, which incorporates a 2.0-litre V6 petrol engine and an electric motor. At low speeds, the Metropolis can run on battery power alone, but when extra grunt is needed, the engine and motor work together to produce a maximum of 460bhp.
INTERIOR
The interior design is owned by a 2012 Citroen DS9 has not been proven yet kelihatnnya will have the concept of luxury and elegance. Because there will be a variety of sophisticated features and can be enjoyed while traveling. There will likely be some kind of voice activated navigation and entertainment system with rear seats a few luxuries such as massage chairs, DVD player, and private jet aircraft such goods.
EXTERIOR
The back of the 2012 Citroen DS9 which is the exterior design has a overall width of the vehicle and fused with aerodynamic lines are amazing. In addition there is an active spoiler and something that all should have a big Citroen, concave rear window. There is a touch of chrome on the side windows with quarter lights that appeared just floating in the air. This is a dynamic and interesting design.
ENGINE
Citroën Metropolis' powerful hybrid drivetrain utilises an optimised 2-litre V6 petrol engine and a 7-speed, dual-clutch electronic gearbox. At low speeds, Citroën Metropolis runs in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mode, with its electric motor developing a continuous 55bhp (40kW), peaking at 95bhp (70kW). At steady speeds on main roads and motorways, the petrol powerplant efficiently provides 272bhp (200kW) and 375Nm of torque. When additional performance is required, such as during overtaking, the car uses both the electric motor and the combustion engine to deliver a maximum power output of 460bhp (345kW) and 430Nm of torque - equivalent to a 4-litre V8 petrol engine. There's also a four-wheel drive mode for when extra grip is needed.
Driving Impressions
Delivering a smooth and cosseting ride experience, Metropolis is specified with Citroën's renowned Hydractive suspension, which dampens even the roughest of road surfaces and improves the car's aerodynamic performance - further helping to reduce CO2 emissions.

Chinais the world's largest automotive market and Citroën's second largest outsideEurope - having been established there for 20 years. The Shanghai World Fair is the perfect opportunity for the brand to reassert its international character and to show, once again, the importance it places on the needs and expectations of this rapidly developing market. With Metropolis, Citroën demonstrates that a blend of Chinese and French sensibilities can create a beautiful vision for the future.
