Ypsilon ELLE show car, world premiere
The Lancia Ypsilon continues to cause a stir, confirming its place as a true icon of Italian design. This time, it is the turn of the new Ypsilon ELLE show car, an original version created from a collaboration between Lancia and the ELLE brand, a symbol of modern femininity that sets trends each season with a vast range of women’s clothing and accessories. Much more than just a name, it represents a unique lifestyle and a dynamic, modern and positive existence. ELLE embodies the modern woman: active and feminine, spontaneous and decisive, with a global outlook. Present in more than 80 countries worldwide, ELLE products are sold at selected retailers and the major European department stores.
Lancia has identified fashion as a preferred area of marketing that represents a key element of brand positioning. The link between Lancia and fashion is clear from its cars (like the Ypsilon Moda Milano, Ypsilon Versus and Musa Poltrona Frau), its adverts starring icons of Italian fashion like Stefano Gabbana and Carla Bruni, and the many industry events it sponsors. What’s more, Lancia and fashion are two showcases of Italian design with shared values including talent, creativity and innovation. In other words, the ingredients that have made Italian style famous the world over.
INTERIOR
The customisation of the car really shows on the inside. The special purple leather and Alcantara upholstery - another colour currently gracing the catwalks - features an art composition with the word ELLE appearing ton-sur-ton on the middle part of the seat. The upholstery is further enhanced by contrasting stitching with bright white leather piping. The interior carpentry was done using a technical material that is also bright white and feels like a fabric. The cool colour scheme continues on the easy-chrome interior displays and central console, which features the purple gear stick gaiter to match the seats and the gemstone.
Finally, the interior of the car is made even more exclusive by the bright white Alcantara upholstery on the upper part of the central pillars and the whole roof panel, as well as by the Velour floor mats with leather edges.
EXTERIOR
The Italian automaker Lancia will unveil a special edition Ypsilon created in collaboration with the ELLE brand at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. ELLE is a symbol of modern femininity that sets trends each season with a vast range of women’s clothing and accessories and is the perfect accompaniment for any woman on the go. The car is covered in a very unique metalluro-effect pink and is highlighted with chrome plated features as well as other intricate details. The reflective metallic theme continues into the radiator grille, rear bumper, door handles and moldings. However the matching pink 16 inch wheels are sure to be a favorite for women everywhere.

If that’s not dressy enough for your tastes, perhaps you’ll like what Lancia did to its Musa five-door subcompact. Reportedly inspired by an ad spot that featured Audrey Hepburn, the tarted-up Musa receives unique wheels, quilted white leather seats, and -- of all things -- a black vinyl roof treatment. At this point, the package is simply conceptual, but if it generates enough interest from the buying public, we doubt Lancia -- which is desperate for sales -- would hesitate to put it into production.
So it seemed quite natural to combine ELLE and Ypsilon, the Lancia model directed at the same fashion-conscious audience.
The Ypsilon ELLE show car has many truly eye-catching features. First, there is the bodywork in a unique metalluro-effect pink that will stand out on the catwalk next year. In addition, the car offers chrome-plated details such as the radiator grille, the rear bumper, handles and door mouldings.
Then, on the outside pillar, there is the main silk-screen print - inspired by ELLE magazine covers and forming the ELLE logo. Also, the 16" alloy wheels are painted in the same pink as the body, but with a matt coat.source:www.automobilemag.com,www.topspeed.com,www.zulva.com

2011 Lancia Ypsilon VERSUS Review and Informations
At Geneva Lancia is presenting new features on all the models in the Ypsilon, Musa and Delta ranges in terms of both style and power units. For these important previews a highly attractive and stylistic stand has been created, based on a haute couture showroom, in which black contrasts with the purity of white and the elegance of silver. In the same way, the fittings and materials used reflect the care and quality of craftsmanship used in the interiors of the Lancia models. The ‘Lancia Café’, a rendezvous and oasis of calm, makes a welcome return, as it did at the latest film festivals – Cannes and Venice – where it became a ‘must’ for actors and show business stars. Designed to welcome the public in an elegant and engaging manner, the exhibition area allows the public to admire the latest developments in car design and, at the same time, experience the emotions of the Lancia environment.
The spotlight is on both the new Delta Executive, the luxurious flagship intended for customers looking for maximum exclusivity and comfort, and the novel Delta Hardblack, a show-car which has a completely matt Lava Black body and interior finish in Alcantara Starlite, also black.
EXTERIOR
The ‘Ypsilon Versus show car' features certain exterior features of great visual impact. Beginning wîth the special Bronzino Bronze body colour that bears a screen-printed ‘Versus' logo on the roof. The exterior also boasts bronze 16' alloy rims. The original bronze chrome finish is also repeated on the grille, handles, moulding on the doors and rear bumpers and tailgate handle, sporting the Versus logo.
The same strong personality is evident inside, as borne out by special upholstery produced wîth a band in a cloth that recalls the world of fashion – and a central area in brown leather wîth a ‘Versus' logo heat-printed in relief, just as on the accessories produced by the fashion brand.
The same craftsmanship has been lavished on the pearl-effect leather of the head restraint, adorned wîth an embossed VERSÚS logo, on the dashboard and on the door panels. Everything has been made even more elegant and exclusive by detailing on the instrument panel, sill plate and gearbox that also have the same bronze chrome finish as the exterior features.
INTERIOR
Finally, the Lancia stand has a special corner dedicated to the growing collaboration between Lancia and Magneti Marelli and the technological equipment produced for the Lancia models: the Reactive Suspension System, the Adaptive Xenon Light headlights, the integrated GPS (Instant Nav) and the robotized transmission (Selectronic). In addition, the collaboration between Fiat Group Automobiles, Magneti Marelli and Microsoft has produced Blue&Me™, a system which for the first time Lancia Delta is offering complete with the ‘services’ functionality in partnership with Telecom, as well as the standard functions of hands-free phone, music player and GPS navigation.

Lancia a partner in the film ‘Angels and Demons’
Lancia is celebrating its major product placement in the film ‘Angels and Demons’, the follow-up to the hit ‘The Da Vinci Code’, with a limited edition of the Ypsilon, Musa and Delta. Under the dual concept banner ‘angel and demon’, the three models of the ‘Première Collection’ feature a white body and a black roof. The three advanced engines are those which best express the twin spirit of the Lancia models: the Ypsilon 1.3 liter engine (105 HP), the Musa 1.3 liter Multijet engine (95 HP) and the Delta 1.9 liter TwinTurbo engine (190 HP) are in fact the cars with the best CO2/HP ratio in their category, in other words maximum power with minimum emissions.
The Lancia Ypsilon continues to cause a stir, confirming its place as a true icon of Italian design. This time, it is the turn of the ‘Ypsilon VERSÚS', an original version created as a result of collaboration between Lancia and Versus, a Versace Group brand that has always been a byword for exquisite styling innovation. With its pronounced tendency for a young, dynamic style, Versus reflects the taste of an audience that is very aware of fashion trends and full of vitality. Attention to detail, care over proportions and top-quality workmanship and materials are the strengths of the brand collections. So it seemed quite natural to combine the VERSÚS brand wîth Ypsilon, the Lancia model directed at the same young and sophisticated audience.
The show car is the forerunner of a special series that will be produced in a limited edition (500 cars) and marketed from March 2009. The car confirms Lancia's interest in the world of fashion. Despite the apparent differences between motoring and fashion, the two worlds actually share important qualities such as talent, creativity and innovation. The winning ingredients of world-renowned Italian style, in other words. source:www.zulva.com,www.conceptcarz.com
