EXTERIOR
As with the New C5 in 2008 and New C3 earlier this year, the New Citroën C4 once again demonstrates the expertise of the brand in creating stylish and innovative vehicles with relevant technological advances.

With its sculpted lines and high quality finish, New C4 cuts a distinctive profile, striking an impression of strength, stability and balanced proportions. Defined and flowing surfaces, such as the purposeful front end and rear spoiler, hint at the model’s optimised aerodynamics. The tasteful addition of chrome detailing combines with the dynamic headlight styling and sculpted alloy wheels to give the new model a premium presence.

Promising precise control and accomplished handling, New C4′s driver focused cabin environment combines with impressive acoustic comfort and soundproofing to deliver a true impression of on-road confidence.

New C4 features compact exterior dimensions and generous internal volumes that make it spacious and thoroughly versatile. At just 4.33m long, 1.79m wide and 1.49m high, New C4 is just 5cm longer, 2cm wider and 3cm taller than the current model. The 408-litre boot is the biggest in its class, with practical square dimensions and a lower sill that makes loading even easier.
ENGINE
New C4 offers:

    Four diesel engines - HDi 90, HDi 110, e-HDi 110 & HDi 150.
    Three petrol engines - VTi 95, VTi 120 & THP 155.
    The THP 155 & e-HDi 110 are both mated to a 6-speed EGS gearbox.
The HDi 110 & HDi 150 are mated to a 6-speed manual 'box.
The VTi 120 is available with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The VTi 95 & HDi 90 both come with a 5-speed manual 'box.

All engines are Euro 5 compliant, all diesel engines are equipped with a particulate filter (DPFS) and all manual models are fitted with a Gear Efficiency Indicator (GEI). The 6-speed EGS transmission has an 'Auto' setting and delivers lower fuel consumption than an equivalent manual transmission.

e-HDi

The system even stops the engine before the car comes to a complete halt - from 5mph during deceleration. The e-HDi system can improve fuel efficiency by up to 15% in urban environments and reduces CO2 emissions by around 5g/km.

Models with 16" wheels, including the e-HDi VTR+, feature low rolling resistance Michelin Energy™ Saver tyres, which help to reduce fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions by up to 5g/km compared with standard tyres.
SAFETY
Personal comfort in the 2011 Citroen C4 can be tailored to suit individual requirements with users able to adjust the colour of the driver’s instrument display, select their own ‘polyphonic’ sound alerts, finely adjust the intensity of the air-conditioning and even immerse themselves in the rich surround-sound of the new audio system. Some models even come with a new massage function on the front seats.

Alongside existing range technologies, such as EGS (Electronic Gearbox System), hill start assist, automatic electric parking brake, Lane Departure Warning System and Xenon dual-function directional headlamps, 2011 Citroen C4 will be available with convenient and useful new technologies - some of which are unique to the segment. These include a new blind-spot monitoring system, a cornering light function, cruise control and speed-limiter with road speed memory settings, and an innovative new service called eTouch.

As well as offering on-board emergency assistance, Citroen’s eTouch system enables drivers to monitor their driving patterns and fuel consumption, and receive advice on how to improve their fuel economy. The system also allows drivers to consult their vehicle’s technical status and monitor any necessary maintenance or servicing requirements.

2012 Citroen C5

Specifications prices Modifications and Image 2012 Citroen C5

2012 Citroen C5 Review and Informations

Recognised as one of the best-styled models in its segment, the Citroen C5 has been subtly upgraded. The changes enable the car to keep all its character while making it immediately visible and recognisable out on the road.

LEDs have been added under the headlamps. Active day and night and combined with a light guide, they subtly strengthen the car’s light signature. The headlamps retain all the existing functions, including xenon dual-function directional lights and corner lights.

The rear lights get a new ‘Dark Crystal’ treatment with clear glass in the central section.
ENGINE
A new engine is making its appearance in the Citroen C5 range, a new-generation 2.2 litre powerplant bringing across-the-board progress on power, torque, silence, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Upgrades made to this engine are in line with those already used on other diesel units in the range (4- cylinder, 1.6 l and 2 l, 3 l V6). They chiefly concern the common rail system, now third-generation, with maximum injection pressure up to 2,000 bars, combustion chambers retaining ECCS (Extreme Conventional Combustion System) technology, and a lower compression ratio (16 to 1), for enhanced operating silence and lower emissions. Engine feed is still via two turbochargers, whose parallel sequential set-up provides plentiful torque from the lowest engine speeds.

The Citroen C5 HDi 200 DPFS develops 150 kW EEC (204 bhp) at 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 450 Nm to 2,000 rpm. Mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the engine provides remarkable performance, with a top speed of 230 km/h (225 km/h for the Tourer), 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds (8.6) and combined-cycle consumption of 5.9 l/100 km (6.1). The saloon emits 155 g/km of CO2 and the Tourer 159 g/km. Like the Citroen C5 HDi 240 DPFS, the new version stands out visually with its chrome-finished double tailpipe.

Citroen C5 VTi 120 WITH EGS6, THE NEW PETROL POWERPLANT The Citroen C5 range is now available with a new petrol engine mated to the 6-speed electronic gearbox system (EGS6). Developed with the BMW Group, the 1.6 litre powerplant develops 88 kW EEC (120 bhp). Mated to the EGS6 gearbox, with wheel-mounted paddles, combined-cycle fuel consumption is 6.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 144 g/km.

e-HDi MICRO-HYBRID TECHNOLOGY FOR SPECTACULAR RESULTS

The Citroen C5 inaugurates the new micro-hybrid technology that will be widely applied to numerous models in the range. Initially it will be available with the HDi 110 DPFS version equipped with the EGS6 electronic gearbox system with steering-wheel paddles and low rolling resistance tyres.

The micro-hybrid technology consists of a second-generation Stop & Start system, which retains an alternator-starter, or reversible alternator, boasting enhanced performance. Power has been increased on the first-generation system, by 70% to 2.2 kW, and now includes a power electronics unit. Fitting the system on a diesel engine constitutes a world first for a passenger car.

Start-ups take just 400 ms, half the time of a starter, and remain completely transparent for users. Noise is eliminated through the use of a timing belt rather than the gears of a conventional starter. Vibrations have been eliminated – at start-up and cut-out – by using a twin-mass engine flywheel and a sealed air regulator and by attaining slowdown speed faster.

An onboard network assistance system, called e-booster, boosts the electricity supply of the alternator using super-output, temporarily adding to the power of the battery. This set-up has several advantages, namely:

•an increase in transmitted energy, improving start-up capacity for temperatures of as low as -5°C;
•onboard network support via complete transparency on the energy required by the alternator, to maintain the performance of the lights, windscreen wipers and radio;
•a function that optimises battery charge and super-output through energy recovery when drivers take their foot off the pedal or slow down, with a slight increase in the engine brake.
The Citroen C5 e-HDi is also equipped with an optimised watertight battery sized for up to 600,000 restart cycles. Engine suspension has been enhanced on the Citroen C5 for increased comfort during stops and re-starts.

The new equipment considerably reduces the Citroen C5′s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Over a combined cycle, the diesel model consumes 4.6 l/100 km and emits 120 g/km of CO2. In an urban cycle, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are up to 15% lower.
SAFETY
Citroen eTouch is now available on the C5. Comprising a package of services including the emergency and assistance calls, Citroen eTouch also proposes a virtual maintenance manual and an Eco-Driving service accessible via the MyCitroen personal area on the web. For calls, Citroen eTouch works completely independently. The system is equipped with a GPS module and a SIM card, with no need for a call plan and unlimited over time. The vehicles features two buttons, "SOS" for emergency calls (the call is also triggered automatically in the event of impact) and "Double Chevron" for assistance calls. The emergency call gets emergency services to customers faster, for accident victims and bystanders alike. The two services are free and available 24-7.

2012 Citroen DS3

Specifications prices Modifications and Image 2012 Citroen DS3
Citroën is unleashing a hot new DS3 at the Geneva Motor Show – the limited edition 200hp DS3 Racing.

Developed by Citroën Racing – the winning team behind five WRC manufacturer’s titles and six driver’s titles for Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena – DS3 Racing is a special edition with a 100% sporting pedigree. Planned for the second half of 2010, the exclusive DS3 Racing will be limited to just 1000 production units.

With integrated carbon-trimmed components and specialist motorsports equipment, DS3 Racing’s tuned and turbo-charged 1.6-litre THP 150 engine develops 200hp – a power increase of almost 30% over the standard unit – with a torque increase of 15% from 240Nm to 275Nm.

To achieve the additional power output, from 156hp to 200hp, Citroën Racing’s engineers modified and optimised the powertrain components, tuned the performance of the turbo and adjusted the mapping of the engine control unit. A special tail pipe and muffler were also added.

Allowing DS3 Racing to stick to the road, the car has undergone some significant sporting enhancements. The steering has been made even more precise, with the control system modified for the new tyres. The fitment of stiffer suspension springs, adapted front and rear shock absorbers (to handle the increased power), and the widening of the front and rear tracks by 30mm – plus lowering the car by 15mm – all dramatically change the driving dynamics.
INTERIOR
Citroën DS3 is available with Citroën's latest in-car technology such as the integrated MyWay satellite navigation unit which incorporates a sophisticated audio and multimedia system, wide format colour screen, MP3 and WMA compatible CD player and Bluetooth® hands free kit. Providing exceptional acoustic clarity, the audio system benefits from a third speaker in the middle of the upper dashboard as well as an amplified subwoofer mounted in the boot for a broader frequency response and immersive audio experience.

Measuring 3.94m long, DS3 Racing’s dark grey body is tastefully contrasted with a vibrant, bright orange-coloured roof, side mirrors and brake callipers. The alloy wheels and front grille surround – with integrated chevrons – are finished in orange chrome.

A sporty carbon finish is used around the front bumper, lower body trim and wing extensions, whilst large 18″ alloy wheels, chrome door handles and even a chrome-finished exhaust complete the dynamic styling.
ENGINE
Proving that environmentally-considerate motoring doesn't mean having to compromise on style or performance, the Citroën DS3 will be available with a choice of five CO2-efficient Euro V power plants consisting of two HDi diesel units and three BMW co-developed petrol engines, combining refined performance with strong fuel economy.

The two HDi diesels - a 90bhp and an 110bhp - are fitted with Citroën's lauded DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System) and the three petrol engines - VTi 95, VTi 120 and THP 150 - are fitted with either 5 or 6 speed manual gearboxes.

2011 Citroen Survolt

Specifications prices Modifications and Image 2011 Citroen Survolt concept
Citroen Survolt Concept is the continuation of Citroen's exploration of distinctive and original electric vehicles, initiated with the Revolte concept car revealed at 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Citroen Survolt Concept turns received notions on their heads through its radically new vision in a consummate blend of high-fashion glamour and extravagance with motor-racing punch.

The desire to overcome one's limits, take things further, dare and create is written in Citroen's DNA. Breaking with convention, shaking up the rules, shifting borders and surprising continuously is the passionate quest and leitmotiv of a brand that over its 90-year history has never ceased to develop innovative objects ahead of their time. Citroen Survolt Concept is one of these. It takes the genetic material of Revolte and adds an extroverted sports dimension to the mix.

Like a luxury accessory that transcends an outfit, Survolt Concept is Citroen's answer to an automotive universe that all too often seems morose. Citroen Survolt Concept casts aside protocol and transgresses existing codes to initiate a new kind of stylish, sporty and elegant supermini. Bucking current trends and pointing to the future of sleek coupés, it unites elegance, glamour and sporting passion, sublimating this last quality with its electric drivetrain.
 INTERIOR
Survolt’s cockpit is designed like a floating cell, a glass setting held between chrome-finished roll bars like some magnificent piece of jewellery. The leitmotiv with Survolt is to transgress the conventions of the luxury world and combine them elegantly with those of the sporting world.

The cabin was imagined as a cross between two worlds that by their essence are opposed. This union begets an organic universe, both flowing and technical, from which the driver’s station springs forth. The interior as a whole was designed to bring the two occupants comfort and refinement, triggering singular pleasure and an outstanding experience.

The car’s generous glazed area brings light and a sensation of space, light years from that offered by today’s sports cars.

EXTERIOR
With its compact dimensions - 3.85 m long, 1.87 m wide and 1.20 m high - Citroen Survolt Concept reappropriates sports car styling cues to form an all-new and revolutionary concept.

At the front, the distinctive vehicle badge reigns elegantly above the large oval-shaped grille, its centre home to the striking double chevron. The car's "look" - charming and profound at the same time - attracts and holds the viewer's gaze with a promise of transgressions suddenly made possible. Its slim, horizontal head lamps, inspired by high-performance sports coupés, exert a magnetic appeal, while an LED light signature adds a contemporary, high-tech touch.

Citroen Survolt Concept was made to gobble up the miles and glide over roads. Low-slung and sleek, it features strong contrasts between the voluptuous bonnet and generous, sculpted flanks, highlighted by emphatic wheel arches that promise performance and thrills.

Citroen Survolt Concept's air-slicing, flowing design is heavy on excitement and sensuality. It conveys agility, precision and vitality, barely containing a powerful, well-defined musculature under refined ined musculature under refined and luxurious wraps. The rear features the elegant light signature of Revolte together with a spoiler in an essential reference to motor sport.

Citroen Survolt Concept is innovative and powerful but also knows how to turn on the charm, revealing its finest assets to catwalk in motor sports arenas. It features two-tone paint, hues of fuchsia and charcoal grey, and plays with materials and volumes. The curves shift from satin-smooth to shiny, breaking definitively with the classic masculine codes of the sports world. Citroen Survolt Concept continues the work begun with Revolte by once again blending two universes with contrasting appearances. Citroen Survolt Concept eschews decorum to create its own styling language.

The inclusion of materials such as chrome and aluminium inevitably recall the spheres of luxury goods and motor sport. Citroen Survolt Concept is a perfect combination between high fashion and car racing, a unique alliance with the same philosophy and the same cues as Revolte, namely performance, cutting-edge technology and excellence.

Longer than a Jaguar XJ, the Metropolis was developed from scratch by a Citroen design team based in Shanghai, and is designed primarily to meet the needs of a China's booming luxury car market.

Among the big Citroen's eye-catching features are its Pearl Silk body colour, which changes under different light conditions, as well as its kite-shaped front grille.

The car also showcases a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain, which incorporates a 2.0-litre V6 petrol engine and an electric motor. At low speeds, the Metropolis can run on battery power alone, but when extra grunt is needed, the engine and motor work together to produce a maximum of 460bhp.

In addition there is an active spoiler and something that all should have a big Citroen, concave rear window. There is a touch of chrome on the side windows with quarter lights that appeared just floating in the air. This is a dynamic and interesting design.
ENGINE
Citroën Metropolis' powerful hybrid drivetrain utilises an optimised 2-litre V6 petrol engine and a 7-speed, dual-clutch electronic gearbox. At low speeds, Citroën Metropolis runs in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mode, with its electric motor developing a continuous 55bhp (40kW), peaking at 95bhp (70kW). At steady speeds on main roads and motorways, the petrol powerplant efficiently provides 272bhp (200kW) and 375Nm of torque. When additional performance is required, such as during overtaking, the car uses both the electric motor and the combustion engine to deliver a maximum power output of 460bhp (345kW) and 430Nm of torque - equivalent to a 4-litre V8 petrol engine. There's also a four-wheel drive mode for when extra grip is needed.
Driving Impressions
Delivering a smooth and cosseting ride experience, Metropolis is specified with Citroën's renowned Hydractive suspension, which dampens even the roughest of road surfaces and improves the car's aerodynamic performance - further helping to reduce CO2 emissions.

Chinais the world's largest automotive market and Citroën's second largest outsideEurope - having been established there for 20 years. The Shanghai World Fair is the perfect opportunity for the brand to reassert its international character and to show, once again, the importance it places on the needs and expectations of this rapidly developing market. With Metropolis, Citroën demonstrates that a blend of Chinese and French sensibilities can create a beautiful vision for the future.
